Sheri Parrack
Sheri L. Parrack made the decision to become an entrepreneur in 1980 after 11 years at the Texas Department of Transportation. She is the founder and 100% owner of Texas Motor Transportation Consultants (TMTC), which assists transportation companies, leasing corporations, banking institutions, attorneys and individuals in motor vehicle tax law and regulatory compliance in 48 states.
Business began to take off for Parrack in 1991 when Houston Mayor Kathy Whitmire recognized her for entering a field into which few women had entered. Since 1991, she has received recognition from various organizations such as, in 1992, Top Ten Business Woman of the Year from American Business Women’s Association and Finalist for Entrepreneur of the Year from Ernst & Young and Inc. Magazine. In 2002, TMTC was named to the Top 50 Woman Owned Businesses in both Houston and Texas.
Sheri believes education is the key to success in both personal and professional pursuits. She actively supports organizations dedicated to providing educational assistance to women and minority owned businesses. She serves on Advisory Boards for both Texas Tech University Leadership for Women and the University of Houston SBDC. Sheri has served on the National Board of Directors for the American Business Women’s Association and is a Life Member of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.
